I’ve been a long-time cyclist but, several years ago, I decided, along with my oldest son, to bike to the beach from our home in northern Delaware. We had no idea what we were doing but the distance (120 miles) meant we were going to stop halfway and stay the night.
That’s all it took. The spirit of adventure took hold, “living on the road” for two days, focusing not on the miles to achieve but the world to take in and appreciate.
This led to my first trip on the GAP C&O in 2019 and the adventures keep coming.
my aspirations
I believe our modern, technocentric world has significantly reduced the inner craving for adventure. Bike touring provides a unique opportunity to re-engage our very spirit with the excitement of the world around us.
My desire is to share my own adventures and connect with other like-minded adventurers who want to lead a more exciting lifestyle.
